Privacy Policy
Headliner ("we", "us") is a concert discovery app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what your rights are. The short version: we collect only what the app needs to work, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell your data.
1. Data we collect
- Name and email address — when you create an account (by email or Google Sign-In). Used to sign you in and link your saved artists to your account.
- Location — your device location, only while you use the app, to show concerts near you. It is used for the search query and is not stored linked to your identity.
- Your activity in the app — artists you save or dismiss, filters, and feedback you send us. Used solely to provide those features.
- Push notification token — if you enable alerts (for example following a festival), we store your device's anonymous push token to deliver them. It is not linked to your name or email, and it is removed when it stops working or you unsubscribe.
We do not collect advertising identifiers, and we do not use your data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
2. How we use it
Only for app functionality: showing nearby concerts, playing music previews, keeping your saved list in sync, showing ticket and resale availability, and sending the notifications you enable (for example, when a festival you follow announces new artists or publishes its set times).
3. Third-party services
Concert, artist and ticket data come from venues and public services including Ticketmaster, TicketSwap, Apple Music (music previews, top tracks and artist images) and Spotify (artist page links). When you tap through to buy a ticket, you leave Headliner and that service's own privacy policy applies. Our backend is hosted in the EU-region infrastructure of our hosting provider.
4. Storage and security
Your account is protected with industry-standard token authentication; credentials are stored in your device's secure Keychain. Data is transmitted over HTTPS.
5. Your rights (GDPR)
You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Deleting your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) removes your personal data from our systems. You may also contact us at privacy@headliner-app.com, or lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
6. Children
Headliner is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
7. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
Terms of Use
1. The service
Headliner helps you discover concerts and links you to third-party ticket sellers. We are not a ticket seller: purchases, refunds and event changes are between you, the seller (e.g. the venue, Ticketmaster or TicketSwap) and the organiser.
2. Accuracy of information
Concert dates, prices and resale availability are aggregated from venues and ticket platforms and refreshed regularly, but we cannot guarantee they are always current or complete. Always verify details with the seller before purchasing.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, attempt to scrape it, or interfere with other users.
4. Music previews & content
Audio previews, artist images and metadata are provided by licensed third-party catalogues and remain the property of their rights holders. Previews are for personal, in-app listening only.
5. Liability
The app is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, missed events, cancelled shows, or losses arising from third-party ticket transactions.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
